Foundations
‘Foundations’ gives clients the tools to find proper alignment and lay the groundwork for their pilates practice.
The better you get at pilates, the harder it becomes – we move at a slower pace to ensure clients are doing it right and feeling the burn.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I attend as a beginner?
If you are brand new to pilates or not sure where to begin, we recommend our Foundations group class or a private session to get you familiar with the machinery. Our ‘Forte’ and ‘Aria’ classes are listed as intermediate – we would recommend 3-5 ‘Foundations’ classes or private sessions before attending to set yourself up for success. If your schedule does not allow this option, no worries! Instructors are trained to offer modifications and advancements for each exercise so you can customize any workout to your needs and experience level.
How do I sign up?
Reserve your spot through our website or the Forza Pilates app. You will need to create an account to register. Our class sizes are limited and we do not accept walk-ins.
What time should I arrive for class?
Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can give you a tour of the studio and an equipment demo. Late arrival may result in refusal to participate in the class.
What do I wear? What do I bring?
Wear comfortable workout attire that allows you to move freely. We recommend a workout tank or tee and bra paired with biker shorts or leggings. If you’re needing inspiration for your next visit, check out our retail offerings in the lobby.
You will not wear shoes during the class. We require grip socks for safety and sanitary reasons. Don’t have socks? We have some available for purchase in store or ahead of time through our app.
We have Antipodes Artisan water for sale and a drinking fountain.
How often should I practice to see results?
First and foremost, listen to your body. We recommend coming once or twice a week for maintenance, three times a week for improvement, and four or five times a week for transformation. Check out our membership options above.
I have an injury - can I still attend class?
Yes! Instructors are trained to accommodate clients with injuries. Notify your instructor before class so they can offer you proper modifications. If you want a class tailored to assist with your specific injury, we recommend scheduling a private session with one of our coaches.
Can I take class if I’m pregnant?
Pilates is a great low impact workout to practice during and after pregnancy. If you are new to pilates, we recommend prenatal clients schedule a private session prior to joining group classes. If you are less than 20 weeks pregnant, you are permitted to take all class formats. If over 20 weeks, we recommend Foundations, Recovery, or private sessions. Consult with your doctor before attending.
Do you have a waitlist?
We limit class sizes to 10 people to allow instructors to give clients personalized, individual attention. This means classes can fill up fast. If a class is full, you will have the option to join the waitlist.
If you do not get a spot in class, or you leave the waitlist before our 12 hour window, the class will be returned to your account. If you are added into class, you will receive an email confirmation. If you are added from the waitlist within the 12 hour window, the cancellation policy still applies. Anyone added to class from the waitlist who does not attend class will be considered a “no show”.
How do I check my position on the waitlist?
To verify your waitlist status, login to your Forza account and select My Classes. There it will confirm your spot in line and give you the option to remove yourself if you do not think you will be able to attend.
What if I have to cancel?
Out of respect for our members, Forza has a strict 12 hour cancellation policy. Classes can be canceled through our app or website. If you cancel before the 12 hour window, there is no penalty and any eligible credits will return to your account. If you cancel within the 12 hour window, you will forfeit the credit and be charged a late fee of $20.
